Water Heaters
UGH! what a nightmare! Well, Home Depot shined their ‘regular’ heads and didn’t bother to help me at ALL to order one, so of course, in true fashion of my father, walked out all kinds of irritated. Went to Lowes today – more expensive heaters, which is kind of okay, but not really – the one from HD was TERRIBLE on energy efficiency anyway. Anyway, to install is 239….which I’m sure is about average. UGH. Why didn’t we just keep renting?
Such a simple question
I asked a simple question to dad: What’s going on if the water heater is leaking a tiny bit out the bottom? He scoffed openly and said that i need to start looking for a new water heater. ARRRRGGGGHHH!!!!! ANOTHER $500-ish dollars we have to dish out – after 700 for the car, 500 for ralph’s teeth, and I’m not saying how much on saving the cat from death. owe, owe owe – that’s all we do. Ah well, such is life…..now the complaining is out – at least it wasn’t the furnace, which we thought we were dealing with last week.
On a side note – The baby is now the size of an avocado….ironically, I’d really like some guacamole. Anyway, I feel her/him wiggling around a lot, particularly at night – my ligaments are pulling and tugging – especially by my C-section scar….yuck!! next appointment is December 3rd-ish……I’ll take Logan so he can hear the heartbeat – I’m sure he won’t ‘get it’, but still, it’ll be cool. We’ll find out what the gender is in January at our ultrasound!
Santa….evil?
Logan has been playing with a santa magnet that is on the fridge – he can use all the pieces to build santa…and then there is a naughty and a nice sign, which he adds other magnets to. So I spelled his name out and that is on the nice list – spiderman is on the naughty list….mickey mouse…nice. Legolas from lord of the rings (who he says is mommy)…nice list. Well, now every day he asks if we can ‘go to Christmas’…and when we were talking about what santa says, he got all kinds of confused – he seems to think that santa says ‘MUA HO HO’….well, as the church lady used to say….

Every tree in our neighborhood dropped its leaves in one day, and then it blows down and gets caught at the fence between our house and our neighbors (the good ones)…so, we had one huge pile of leaves…..

I downloaded, easily, about 200 photos from the camera a couple days ago – so the halloween pics will be appearing SO soon! 
Don’t worry, you can stop biting your nails. I’m having a hard time parting with L’s hair. it’s just so cute – and somehow really fits his personality – but his dad wants it GONE. Luckily, i’m the one that always initiates taking him for a haircut, so I’ll just avoid it until he asks again. It’s so cute!
This boy is SO loving electric company. Did you know its been re-done? it’s so awesome. Ralph and I immediately get sucked in. His favorite song right now on there is ’silent e is a ninja’…okay – maybe it’s MY favorite song, but hey…he likes it too.
I had an OB appointment last monday – and heard the heartbeat via the doppler. YAY – Dr. Says everything is great still. My next appointment is the beginning of December – I may take Logan so he can hear the hearbeat, too. We’ll see. We will do our ultrasound in January to find out what we are having. becuase YES, WE WILL FIND OUT!!
Oh – room update – now, I asked Logan what he wants us to paint his new room – and he said ‘You think about that, mom.’
